Risk Beyond 2026 International Conference on Enterprise Risk Management is an annual risk management program in Indonesia, organized by ERMA. This year, Risk Beyond will enter its 16th year. The program is intended as a forum for the discussion of risk management practitioners’ experience with focus on current issues and challenges in the enterprise risk management practices at the national, regional, and global levels. Risk Beyond has been held annually since 2011.

BaliERM2011 or Asia Pacific Risk Management Conference 2011 was held on 8-9 December 2011 at Ayodya Resort Nusa Dua, Bali. It was the premier event of ERMA conference series for 2011. It was attended by around 200 distinguished risk management practitioners.

BaliERM2012 was held on 6-7 December 2012 at Ayodya Resort Nusa Dua, Bali. It was conducted along with OECD’s 7th Asia SOE Network on Corporate Governance (July 2012), and The ERMA Asia Pacific Risk Management Conference (APRMC) 2012 (November 2012).

BaliERM2013 was held on 12-13 December 2013. It was attended by more than 150 participants from various industry backgrounds. Almost half of the participants have background in Finance and Energy & Mining industry. Towards the following years ERMA aspires to engage more industries to participate in BaliERM.

BaliERM2014 was held on 4-5 December 2014. The number of participants has increased to more than 200 distinguished risk management practitioners. The main theme for BaliERM2014 was Enterprise Risk Management – Leaping to the Next Curve towards ASEAN Economic Community. In 2014 ERMA also collaborated with national and local media to cover the event.

BaliERM2015 was held on 10-11 December 2015 at Grand Nikko Hotel in Nusa Dua, Bali. The number of participants has increased to around 250 distinguished risk management practitioners. The BaliERM2015 was focused on Integration of Governance, Risk, Compliance and Sustainability (GRCS).

The sixth BaliERM was held on 8-9 December 2016 at Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort in Nusa Dua, Bali, Indonesia. The number of participants were more than 300 distinguished risk management practitioners. The main theme for BaliERM2016 was ‘Managing Risks and Opportunities in Digital Era‘.

Risk Beyond 2017 was held 7-8 December 2017 at The Alana Hotel & Convention Center, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The number of participants were more than 300 distinguished risk management practitioners. The main theme for Risk Beyond 2017 was ‘Navigating the Future of Risk: Integration of Business Processes’.

Risk Beyond 2018 was held on 6-7 December 2018 at Hotel Tentrem, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The number of participants has increased to more than 350 distinguished risk management practitioners The main theme for the upcoming Risk Beyond 2018 was ‘Integrated Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC) in a New Digital World’.

The last onsite Risk Beyond before the global pandemic was held on 5-6 December 2019 at The Anvaya Beach Resort, Bali, Indonesia. The number of participants has increased to more than 350 distinguished risk management practitioners. The main theme for Risk Beyond 2019 was ‘Risk Management; The Next Generation. Embracing GRC in Industry 4.0’.

During the global pandemic of COVID-19, Risk Beyond 2020 International Conference on ERM was fully held online and virtually conducted on December 7-10, 2020. Nonetheless, the program was attended by around 338 risk management practitioners including 33 speakers and 9 hosts from 16 countries, and provided comprehensive insight in various issues, challenges, and cases that can be applied in a real-world setting.

The world was still battling with COVID-19 Pandemic, Risk Beyond 2021 International Conference on ERM was once again virtually conducted on December 8-10, 2021. More than 350 risk management practitioners participated in this event including 33 speakers (10 hosts) from 20 countries who provided a rich and insightful discussion upon its main theme: “Journey To The Next Frontier”.

After battling with the pandemic for more than 2.5 years, Risk Beyond 2023 will be held fully onsite in Bali. This is the time to build our resiliency to bounce back for a better future and thrive in this capricious and rapidly-changing business environment., Risk Beyond 2022 International Conference on ERM was once again virtually conducted on December 8-9, 2022. More than 375 risk management practitioners participated in this event including 33 speakers (10 hosts) from 20 countries who provided a rich and insightful discussion upon its main theme: “Cultivating the Perception: Managing it or Being Drifted Away”.

Shifting the focus from reactive risk mitigation to proactive risk intelligence, the event emphasized the need for tools, insights, and foresight to anticipate, adapt to, and leverage emerging risks. Participants were urged to adopt bold, forward-thinking strategies, moving beyond conventional risk management to drive innovation and growth. Risk Beyond 2023 International Conference on ERM was once again virtually conducted on December 7-8, 2023. More than 500 risk management practitioners participated in this event including 30 speakers (9 hosts) from 20 countries who provided a rich and insightful discussion upon its main theme: “Into The Unknown: Charting the future agenda”.

Moving from isolated efforts to collective action, Sustainable Symphony: Echoes of Change emphasized the power of collaboration and innovation in shaping a resilient, sustainable future. Participants were inspired to embrace bold, unified approaches that turn diverse ideas into lasting impact. Risk Beyond 2024 International Conference on ERM was once again virtually conducted on December 5-6, 2024. More than 450 risk management practitioners participated in this event including 30 speakers from 15 countries who provided a rich and insightful discussion upon its main theme: “Sustainable Symphony: Echoes of Change”.

Moving from isolated efforts to collective action, Risk Odyssey: Engineering Momentum, Building a Resilient Risk DNA underscores the shift from reactive risk management to strategic momentum. This year’s theme focuses on embedding resilience into organizational DNA—strengthening systems, leadership, and culture to drive confident, forward-looking decisions in a complex world. Risk Beyond 2025 International Conference on ERM was once again virtually conducted on December 4-5, 2025. More than 450 risk management practitioners participated in this event including 25 speakers from 10 countries who provided a rich and insightful discussion upon its main theme: “Risk Odyssey: Engineering Momentum, Building a Resilient Risk DNA”.
